Site Registration Bug is Fixed…PLEASE READ!

Whoops.

Apparently when the new site was set up, there was a little configuration problem with the email system, and those of you who registered never got passwords sent to you. Thanks to Bonnie for bringing it to our attention.

Fortunately there is no need to re-register; just follow these steps to have the site send you a new password, then log in to change it to something easier to remember:

THIS IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED SITE REGISTRATIONS BUT NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL WITH THEIR PASSWORD!

1. Enter your user name or email address at this page to have a new random password generated and sent to you: http://new.springfielddiving.org/wordpress/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

2. You will receive a confirmation link in an email to verify that your reminder request is legitimate. This is a security measure. Click on the link in the email (or paste it into your web browser) and a second email will be sent to you with a random password.

3. Log back into the Springfield Diving web site: http://new.springfielddiving.org/wordpress/wp-login.php with the password you received in your email.

4. Once you have successfully logged in you can go to your user profile http://new.springfielddiving.org/wordpress/wp-admin/profile.php and change your password to something easier to remember.

Please let me know if you have any problems setting your password up and I’ll be glad to help you out. Sorry for the inconvenience.
